Daisy and BEE Awards
Special Event Running All Year
Are partner recognition programs in healthcare that honor staff for exceptional, compassionate care. The DAISY award recognizes nurses, while the BEE (Being Exceptional Everyday) Award honors nursing support staff and non—nursing team members. Both awards celebrate staff who demonstrate excellence in their roles.
Colorado River Quilters is sponsoring these awards at Valley View Regional Medical Center. We anticipate our needs to be 8 laptop quilts for the DAISY awards and 8 laptop quilts for the BEE awards. You can use bees and daisy fabrics, quilts with appliques or embroidery.

Penny Nichols - is doing demo's at the show. She needs help putting kits together. All supplies will be provided.
There will be a number of stations for preparing various items for the Quilt Show and your help is really needed. The various projects include:
Preparing raffle baskets – baskets, celophane wrapping and ribbons will be provided. If you are making a raffle basket and need help, this would be the time to get it all wrapped up! Questions: Linda McClellan – lindamc819@yahoo.com
Scandinavian Stars – These are guest gifts for people attending the show. With any luck we will need lots of them! Please prepare your strips in advance: 4 strips measuring 4” x 17” - any color combination you want. Fold the strips in half lengthwise and press, open up and fold long edges to center and press, fold back in half and press. Starching really helps for tight edges. Demonstration Kits – Putting together kits for the craft table to be enjoyed by the public. One project is small yarn gnomes and Penny needs help cutting the yarn for the kits. Each kit requires 40 strands of white yarn for the body, cut at 12” lengths, and 40 strands of any color yarn for the hat, cut at 15”. Your help in preparing these kits would be greatly appreciated.
