Build-a-Bed Oct. 2026
October 15, 2026
Today, after the meeting Laurie Conroy, Mavis Fulco and Diana Yaris delivered quilts for the Build A Bed project. We were very surprised when Derrick Voss, Assistant Vice President of National Bank of Arizona, presented each of the three quilt clubs with a $500.00 check to purchase supplies for the quilts we make and donate. He also sent us the following message along with photos of children who received the quilts. They have been added to the website in the Charity, Build A Bed section.
“The young men in some of the photos are the youth and their leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ. They have been a part of the building of the bed frames and have gone out on 3 or 4 delivery days. We also have a tremendous amount of help and support from Home Depot and their employees. They donated about 25K in lumber, saws, screws, etc. and hosted an all day build in their parking lot.

Derrick asked me today what we need. What our challenge was? I answered, we need batting, we get it in large rolls and it costs about $400. He offered to donate to the need. I thought he would give us that amount and to my surprise he gave each of the three clubs $500 each. I am so amazed at how many wonderful people step up to the plate. I am really looking forward to being a part of our charity cooridation. Sincerely, Diana
