Today, after the meeting Laurie Conroy, Mavis Fulco and Diana Yaris delivered quilts for the Build A Bed project.  We were very surprised when Derrick Voss, Assistant Vice President of National Bank of Arizona, presented each of the three quilt clubs with a $500.00 check to purchase supplies for the quilts we make and donate.  He also sent us the following message along with photos of children who received the quilts.

Please note that for security, the children each have sticker faces.

“The young men in some of the photos (no stickers on faces) are the youth and their leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ.  They have been a part of the building of the bed frames and have gone out on 3 or 4 delivery days.  We also have a tremendous amount of help and support from Home Depot and their employees.  They donated about 25K in lumber, saws, screws, etc. and hosted an all day build in their parking lot.

We started the Bed project in September 2024 with the idea of building and delivering 25 beds a year.  To date, in just 2 years, we have delivered 107 beds.
